Miguel Odriozola building

Edificio Miguel Odriozola

These facilities were built in the 1940s as a shelter for a herd of pigs created in the 1930s by Miguel Odriozola for animal breeding purposes.

The animal breeding research line was extinguished in 1987 and the herd was maintained until cryoconservation of genetic material was guaranteed in another research center.

In 2002 and 2003, rehabilitation of the building funded by the FEDER program of the European Commission allowed to adapt the construction for harboring laboratories and offices. In 2004, the building began to be called Miguel Odriozola to honored the memory of this researcher.
